If you love wine, gourmet foods, and hidden locations, then join Sharon Kazan Harris for a one-of-a-kind wine tour curated for wine lover to Bordeaux, France. Sharon, your host, is the owner and director of winemaking, and after spending 4 decades in Bordeaux, she is ready to host you in her St. Emilion villa.
This wine trip will have you exploring some of her favorite places in Bordeaux. Couples and connoisseurs will tour world-class chateaux, regional foods, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and experience the right Bordeaux cultural fabric.
Spaces are limited, and only three couples are booked weekly. Prices are defined per couple or double occupancy.

What’s Included:
Settling in to your private suite
Couples will cozy up in a private room ensuite bathroom at the RARECAT Villa in Saint Emilion. The 5 days, 6 nights event starts any time on Sunday with departure time on Friday. The villa is located in the village or St Emilion, a stroll from chateaux, restaurants, and wine shops. The villa and bedrooms are air-conditioned and has high-speed wifi.
Wine tasting and dinner
Couples that arrive by 4pm on Sunday will have an exclusive wine tasting at one of Sharon's favorite chateaux. Enjoy the company of the hostess with the most, Sharon, in an elegant champagne cocktail welcoming followed by a 3-course wine dinner with specialties wines from the region. To prepare you for the upcoming wine tour, you are invited to a fun interactive session discussing the Bordeaux wine region.
Celebrate St. Emilion Day
This unique celebration takes you to some of Sharon’s favorite places, including a private tour of UNESCO’s World Heritage sites. Your stops will include the Monolithic Church, visits and tasting at Premiere Grand Cru Chateaux, and lunch at a Michelin star restaurant.
Daily Champagne and Amuse Bouche (small bites)
Every evening, guests are treated to a Champagne cocktail hour with appetizers. This delicious late afternoon ritual enables you to discuss wines from the regions explored that day and connecting with your villa friends.

What is your morning like? We have coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, fruits, bread, assorted jams, pastries, and loads of snacks to get you out of bed and ready for another exciting wine day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is transportation included in the cost?
You are responsible for your own transportation for your personal movements, but we can arrange a private car for you when needed. We will, however, arrange for private transportation to pick you from the airport or train station and as part of your wine tours.
Do I need to rent a car?
That depends on you, but the St. Emilion villa is in proximity to most stores, wine shops, world-class chateaux, and Michelin star restaurants. If you decide you need a car, you have to rent one for yourself at the airport or train station. Eurocar, Hertz, and Avis are all located in station.
Do I have access to a private bathroom?
Absolutely, each bedroom is ensuite with a bathroom. We have two rooms with king-size beds and a room with queen-size bed. One room is on the ground floor and two on the second floor. The Villa walls are 6-inch thick, so privacy is guaranteed.
How are the rooms assigned?
It is on a first-come, first-get basis. However, all rooms are elegantly designed with slight décor differences. We have 2 king-sized bedrooms facing south. One is upstairs, and the other downstairs with a bath/tub combination. The Queen sized bed has a walk-in show and faces north overlooking a beautiful garden.
Is there connectivity in the Villa?
Yes, high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the house with a strong signal in the shared living space. However, guests will experience weak connections in their bedrooms due to the 6-inch thick stone walls.
What are the shared living spaces?
The villa combines old-world charm with modern elegance and open spaces. The shared living area includes the dining room, gourmet kitchen, and large backyard with a pool.
Is the kitchen accessible to guests?
Yes, and guests are free to use it to get snacks, coffee, tea, or juice. The refrigerator is also open if you have anything to store. However, there is a restriction when the chef is prepping or cooking.
Do the rooms have grooming accessories?
Yes, we have, and each room has a hairdryer in all bathrooms.
Are there a washer and dryer available to guests?
Yes, and you are welcome to use it. However, washer and dryers are much slower in Europe than in the US. So plan 2 hours for washing and the same time for drying.
Would you suggest coming in from Paris?
Paris is the perfect stop to catch your breath if you are traveling from an afar destination. They are plenty of TGVs (fast trains) between Paris and Bordeaux daily, so getting here is a breeze. However, when flying directly to Bordeaux, Delta or Air France is a reliable option, especially for our US guests.
We strongly recommend flying Delta. However, if you are traveling on United Air, flight options are available from Paris, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam.
Is travel insurance necessary?
Travel insurance is a vital recommendation when traveling, but it is a personal choice too. However, be reminded that this booking is non-fundable 90 days from arrival due to the complex nature of the trip as resources have been invested for our guests to have the best wine experience of their lifetime.
Will my streaming service function in Europe?
Although many streaming services are the US only, we cannot guarantee they will work in Europe. However, we recommend speaking with your provider or a tech expert for further clarification.
Is wine includes in the cost?
Guests will enjoy rich wine at various stages of this tour, including at the welcome dinner and every cocktail hour. The villa has a wine refrigerator and is stocked with wine glasses. You are encouraged to explore and buy wines from the wine shops around to enjoy back in the villa. |
