PROFILE
Three clones of Cabernet Sauvignon are combined to create a rich wine, black and inky in color with a nose of black chocolate, blackberries, anise, toffee coffee and wet stone.  The Petit Verdot is a lively surprise, with high tones of acid, red cherries, rose petals, beef and tar. The small amount of Merlot with softer tannins contributes dark cherries, briar patch and dried fruit with an enhanced richness in the lingering finish. The Cabernet Franc is a rich, clean example of wild berries, leather, mint and sumac touched by a great palate of clean tannins. (Barrel, tasting notes, June 2009)
